If you are headed to the Río Alseseca, then the
Santuario Pezma is hard to miss. It is on the right (on the curve) after crossing the bridge (Puente Tomata) right upstream of Cascada Tomata. This is on the highway from Tlapacoyan to Altotonga El Pezma is a Parque Natural which has cabins and other facilities for camping. It is located along the Río Alseseca where there are about seven rather difficult rapids. It is worthwhile just to stop by to look at the rapids. The paddlers running these rapids were warming up by running the Río Alseseca.
