I am looking at coming to Mexico during december to paddle and I am trying to figure out which airport is the best to fly into, and rent a car and so on.  I was looking at either tampico or guanajuato.  any info would be great

People usually fly into Tampico since it is a large airport.  There is a smaller airport at Tamuin which a commercial airline now uses but it is more expensive and harder to rent a car.  The city of San Luis Potosi is the closest on the central plateau but it's airport is smaller than Tampico and not as convenient to most of the paddling.
